SAHM starting a job in a small medical office. Do you think I need to wear hosiery with pants or knee length skirts?
Why would anyone wear hosiery with pants EVER?
Tights in the winter with skirts, no tights or hose in the summer if your legs look good and are tan. No need for hose with pants.
And no Jose worth open toe shoes. Ever.
^^^hose
Let's try again. No hose with open toe shoes. Ever.
If it is in a medical office, you probably can't wear open toed shoes (with or without hose.) I work in a medical office and those of us who don't wear scrubs tend to wear pants with a cardigan (it is always cold here) or in the summer a casual dress with no hose, but with ballet flats.

I would err on the side of conservative for the first few days (ie wear the tights with skirts)-especially if your job is public facing. You'll probably be given a dress code to read as part of your orientation. If not, you'll at least be able to observe what others wear. Business casual can be interpreted so many ways and it really can be unique to each work environment.
