Size 10, Apple Shape, Where to Shop?

Anonymous
I'm 45 btw. I like to shop online but now that I wear a size L top and getting more apple-shape I'm having a lot of trouble finding clothes that are flattering. If I look online, the models are all stick thin and I can only look and think of how my DD's will look poured into the tops. If I look at the plus-size sites, the sizes start at 1X which is too large.

Are there any sites or stores that cater to those with the not-so-perfect figures?

Nic and Zoe make great stuff.

J Jill
Talbots
White House Black Market
Ann Taylor
Nordstrom
Chicos (though some of their stuff is awful)
Loft
Lands' End (some of their stuff is dowdy, some is nice)

if you are 5 foot and a size ten and large top you need to shake some weight. its not he clothes its you.

I'm an apple, and I find that Talbot's fits my body shape pretty well. The clothes run well on the conservative side, though. For me, that's a plus, but others might have more fashionable suggestions.

How obnoxious are you! Take your eating disordered self to a different thread...

OP - I like Nordstrom, Talbots, Lands End, White House Black Market.

I got some really cute little spring/summer dresses at Land End. Nothing fancy, but good to be casual in.

Just remember OP,

"I'm all 'bout that bass, 'bout that bass
Yeah it's pretty clear, I ain't no size two
But I can shake it, shake it like I'm supposed to do
'Cause I got that boom boom that all the boys chase
All the right junk in all the right places..."

(Personally, I've been disappointed in J Jill quality.)

I asked how tall because I'm the same size/also apple shaped and I wondered if we have a similar figure. Sorry it brought the asshole out of the woodwork.

Honestly? Old Navy. If you are careful with what you buy (check the fabric content), they have decent stuff, and it's cheap enough that you can try out a bunch of things and if they don't work out, not too expensive of a mistake.

OP here, thanks for all of the great suggestions!

Also, for the troll, I never said I was a perfect size, I gave my size, my age, and my height. Sure I'd love to be slimmer but right now I'm not, so I need to deal with it.

I sound like we may be close same size, I'm a 10P because my waist is large in proportion. (yes it sucks)
Talbots or J crew size 12 petite dresses tailored to fit
J crew petites sometimes in pants
eileen fisher petites (PM) for the basic black and white shirts and pants, not the droopy stuff.
Nordstrom petites -dresses and skirts
Work suits - J crew, St John
Spend alot of $ on tailoring!!!!
I wish I was taller, and thinner, but I work with what I got.
