Current Events forum?

I frequently visit the OT forum. It is regularly filled with threads about current events in the news. Jeff, would you consider giving current events its own forum?

I am reluctant to create new forums at this time. But, I think current events belong in off-topic. That is the sort of thing I've envisioned for that forum.
