SOUL CYCLE QUESTION CLIPPING IN

Anonymous
Every single time I go to soul cycle, I can't seem to clip into the pedals, and I need assistance. Does anyone here know how to do it/explain??

Do you have the right type of cleat (Shimano road pedal compatible)?

For me, the hardest part is locating the cleat on the bottom of your shoe without being able to see it. Even if you are a little off, the cleat wont go into the right portion of the pedal. Show up early, and see if you can put in the cleat into the pedal when you are not wearing the shoes so you can look from the side and see how the cleat and pedal fit together.

I slide forward on the pedal with my toes higher than my heal and when I feel the front of the cleat catching on the pedal, I stomp down with my heal to engage the clip. Sometime, you have to virtually stand on one foot on the pedal to get the cleat to catch.

After you do it a couple of times, your cleats will wear slightly, making it easier to clip into the pedals.1

Yes, it can be a good way to work your legs harder/in a more balanced way, because you can use them to pull the pedal up in addition to pushing it down.
