Injectables with Timed Intercourse

Hi All,

My doctor mentioned doing some injectable fertility med with timed intercourse. My FSH and estrogen numbers are very good but I have a luteal phase defect. The doctor seemed to be pretty confident that I would get pregnant pretty easily with the treatment. My husband and I have an appointment at the end of the week with the doctor after my HSG today.

Has anyone out there had success with this method? Thanks.

Yes! I have PCOS, with decent (but not great) day 3 numbers. Tried five rounds of Clomid, some months with IUIs, with no success. Went to injectibles with timed intercourse and got pregnant the first month. Good luck!

My understanding is that it's the injectables that increase your odds, and the IUI just adds a very little bit. So it's definitely something worth trying. And you'll get a good feel for how you respond to injectables.
