Neuropsych recommendations for ADHD diagnosis?

Anonymous
I am in search of recommendations for a good neuropsychologist to do an evaluation of my 10 year old. Her pediatrician thinks she has ADHD, which I think is probably right, but I want to rule out other issues and be sure.

My pediatrician recommended Daisy Pascualvaca and I found some other posts saying good things about her. Anyone else? We live in DC but are happy to travel.

Thanks!

KKI or Children's Hospital? I believe those are covered by insurance. They do have long waiting times to get in though.

Have read well written, thorough and spot on reports from each.

Mindwell in Bethesda was terrible for us. Sloppy report; several errors.

We are about to embark on this journey as well. We got two names: Daisy Pascualvaca and Jody Blieberg. Both doctors came highly recommended. I interviewed both, and both were outstanding. We ended up going with Blieberg - not because we didn't like Pascualvaca however. It really came down to availability and I also really like that she does all the testing and writes her own reports. Based on our past experience with this 6 years ago when DS had his first round of testing - the testing, grading and writing of the reports were done by a few different people which I didn't like at all. it was a negative experience for a few other reasons that I have not listed however.

Anyhow OP - I would have no problem going with either doctor. If you search this forum as well as the Private Schools forum you will find that both of these doctors are referenced quite often, and almost every single post was very positive.

With regards to Stixrud, this name is always thrown around as "the practice" to go to for testing. Not that they're bad, but there are A LOT of excellent psychologists in the area who can do testing.

Good Luck.

We used The Stixrud Group for my 12-year-old son, and they seemed very professional and knowledgeable.
