And BRAVE undefeated vs VDA this year.

2010 mini bracket
Brave 2-1-1 7points,6GF, 7GA
VDA 1-1-2 5points, 5GF, 8GA
Union 1-2-1 4points, 11GF, 8GA

These final results are a surprise. So BRAVE came out on top amongst the local teams. Who would have guessed?!

BP the savior is coming to VDA with his FCV favorites, these results won't be similar and the competition won't be close!
''

coaches changes clubs, players follow coach to new club - this happens all the time and it happens every year - why does BP's "favorites" keep getting brought up? Is there a hint of jealously in your comment, do you want to be one of BP's favorites?

Nope! Just reminding everybody who the new queens of the area are so everybody is aware!

The BP + VDA hate is going to be insufferable.

Not if he's successful in cleaning up the club and they're successful. Nationals will be a good tell of the future

What needs to be cleaned up? BP swooping in so he can take credit for another club that he didn’t build.

The paid players situation is not helping either.
Next year can only be better !

What is the paid player situation? I have not heard that phrase.

Are you referring to Union 2011 or McLean Green 2011?

I think the PP is referring to the side deals with certain parents for specific positions for their kids.

Yes there are side deals. Some players in McLean 2011 will cause goals every weekend. Yet you find them playing again the following weekend.

How dare that coach not bench a player permanently for making a few mistakes in U13 soccer!

This is travel soccer not participation trophy soccer

This is soccer paid for by a bunch of families who expect their kids to be given opportunities to improve as a player and have a good experience.

In other countries, they hardly even keep score at this age. You may notice that other countries are generally better than us at soccer.

Other countries don’t keep score at Under 13?

True . Some European academies don't until U16

A professional team's academy and kids playing on a team in a local league are completely different.

If you find a league in Germany with standings and results under U13, I'll pay for your families next vacation to anywhere

As the original statement was "other countries" and not Germany, I will take the win here.

In England, a country different than the USA (Yes. England is a country that is part of the United Kingdom) they do indeed have youth leagues and keep score.

https://londonyouthpremiershowcase.com/u13-14-league-table-phase-1-2/

taking the win? you didn't prove them wrong - "Some European" was the comment, some isn't all, some is a few or couple or several but definitely isn't all

Not to mention, English football and youth development is pretty much garbage compared to any reasonably-sized European country.

Who builds a club? No one. A club exists and gets good or bad but no one builds it. Too many external factors why people come and go.

Then a club BP didn’t make good.

Well, now all the local ecnl clubs have no small fish to beat up on and they will have to actually start doing some real coaching, or get exposed by the other local clubs. It's impossible for a subpar player to sneak on in ecnl roster at this point with only one club per county in Northern Virginia

Anonymous wrote:Both clubs overall are terrible. This merger did nothing to help. Boys side is horrendous and will be that way next season. Girls side only really 1-2 high performing team. I suspect FVU will no longer exist after 2 or so seasons. They don't have the facilities, coaches and are getting leftover kids who couldn't make another ECNL team.

This isn’t Spades so stop with the 1 possible 2 stuff. They have ONE high performing team and those kids will be graduating sooner than later. The mighty McLean looking more and more like Valor.

The 10s haven’t even started HS yet.

08s should be good as well, due to Brave. We’ll have to see about the 11s and 12s.

I don't get it, Mclean advertising 4 girls teams are headed to nationals, so how are we measuring high performance? Boys only have the 1 team that qualified .. so yes, boys have historically and likely will continue to struggle
