Good High Schools in Alexandria?

What are the best high schools and related feeder schools in Alexandria? Any yuppie/upscale-ish neighborhoods for a SFH under $500K? Anywhere pretty like Mt. Vernon or am I dreaming?

Are you talking Alexandria City or Alexandria- Fairfax County.

Given your price range, it will definitely be Fairfax County. Try Waynewood, Stratford Landing.

None of the Alexandria (Fairfax County) high schools are anything special. There are some wonderful elementary schools, but I wouldn't move there looking for the best high schools in the county.
