New show American Crime. Did anyone watch it?

I missed it. But did anyone watch it?

I watched but got distracted by some housework. I plan to rewatch. What I did see was really well acted and its one of those shows where there is going to be something interesting/unexpected from all the characters. No one is all good or bad. Nice seeing treat williams and felicty huffman together too.

I DVRd it but haven't watched it yet.

It looked interesting but I totally forgot about it. Would love to hear what people thought.

I read a review in the NYT yesterday or today. It sounds compelling.

Yes, and so far I like it, although making me sad already

I like it but I've resolved to have TV be a non-stressful experience for the next year so not watching further.

I didn't watch but the first 10 minutes, but wow. Really good acting. After Scandal, which was oddly emotional for me this week, I wasn't up to watching any sad or violent.

Finally got caught up on back episodes and curious to see what others think. In particular, Tony's father complains to reporters that "illegals" got his son in trouble. Later, the priest of his parish asks him to come to Saturday mass instead of Sunday because so many in the (Latino) church are offended by what he said. I was wondering how likely it is that this would really happen. Does anyone who knows more about churches in the Latino community want to comment?

Very good. Wrenchingly sad at times. Infuriating at others.

I thought this was unrealistic. Saturday evening mass fulfills the Sun requirement but is often just as packed as early Sunday morning.

Thanks for the response, pp. It didn't make sense to me but I know little about this demographic group.

Depends on your parish. Some Saturday masses draw less than 25% of parishioners.

It's a great show. I love how every character is neither good or bad. The script is also brutally honest. People say what I know a lot of folks think, but are too politically correct to say out loud. Great acting and direction.

It's also very unpredictable. I have no clue what is going to happen in a given episode. I also can't figure out what really happened to the married couple.

I've only watched the first four or five episodes. My theory is -- THEORY NOT A SPOILER -- that the husband caught the wife cheating on him and beat the crap out of her, and the other man shot and killed the husband.
