| The self-contained autism programs in MCPS have a pretty good reputation. Are you looking to mainstream with supports or get in to one of the autism programs or learning centers? |

If you're coming from PAC (I think that's your old school system's equivalent of PEP right?) you may have an easier time getting a good IEP out of your school.
I know parents who have come in with the same diagnosis but were not at an autism preschool program who had trouble. |

| OP, I'd look at private schools and their financial aid. We also moved from VA to MCPS and were rather disappointed. DS, also ASD, also a former PAC-er, is now at Maddux and thriving. |
