where to get a dress dyed?

Anonymous
I have a bridesmaid dress that is a pretty style but unfortunate color, and I'd like to get it dyed black or maybe dark blue. Are there any businesses around here that do this?

Wow, no answers? Bumping this one time. DCUM, don't let me down!

Doubt it and is it really worth all that trouble

It's not worth the trouble of doing it myself, but if I can find someone to do it for a reasonable price, then why not? Its a nice style and good quality, and otherwise it will sit in my closet or I'll sell it on ebay for much less than I paid. I guess this isn't an easily available service though. I'm surprised!

There's obviously a reason you're having a hard time finding it because no one wants that service however did you consider contacting whoever dyes shoes to see if they would do the dress?

It is really not difficult at all to do at home, especially if you want to go with a dark color. You can get dye at a store that sells fabrics and sewing things and the people there can tell you how to use it. It is fairly easy and you will be happy to end up with a dress you can wear more often.

I would ask Parkway Custom Drycleaning or another longtime good dry cleaner if this is possible.

I'd ask where you got it, or if not local, call a David's Bridal. They sell so many of those dyed bridesmaid's dresses, they must know an answer.
