Random question about the explicit forum

I'm just curious...do a lot of the regular (frequent) DCUM posters venture in there at least sometimes? Or is it only a very small portion of the DCUM population that go in there?

I've never looked into it much. But, whenever that forum is discussed in off-topic or one of the other non-explicit forums, all kinds of posters say that they visit it in addition to ther forums. I think that those that have usernames and are most active generally stick to the explicit forum fairly exclusively. But, there is a big community that doesn't login and I expect a lot of them are "regular" posters.

Why do you have it at all? It seems pretty seedy compared to the rest of the site.

To collect seedy posts so they won't be posted in other forums.

But I think those seedy posters hang around posting slightly "off key" things in the more normal forums.

An explicit forum is helpful, IMO, because sometimes you want to anonymously ask for advice about something in your sex life. There is vague reference to sex - like how often - in the relationships forum, but if I want advice about something more detailed than that, and it's about my marriage, then why not ask this group?

I'm mostly on DCUM for parenting issues, but every now and then have something relationship related, which rarely but on occasion has had to do with the sex aspect of my marriage. I wouldn't want some one casually perusing the "recent posts" to open it in an inappropriate setting.

That said, sure there are lots of gross and unnecessary things in the explicit forum, but that doesn't render the entire forum pointless IMO.

Well said. It's so stupid that people are bothered by the existence of the explicit forum.

I spend time on probably a dozen of the forums, including that one.

I love sex. It's how we got our children.

PP is one of those people who thinks things like all gay people are child molesters, and the like.

I've never seen any evidence of this.

This is grossly offensive.
