If you are logged can you delete the threads you start?

I engaged in a thread earlier today that I can no longer locate. The OP was logged in and posted under a user name rather than anonymously. If you are logged in can you delete your own threads? I didn't see a request in the Website Feedback forum asking you to delete it. Just curious. Thanks.

Not sure about being able to delete yourself, but I've asked JEff to delete one of my posts by reporting it to him and asking him to delete it.

No. You can't delete your threads even if you are logged in. I can guess which thread to which you are referring. I first moved it to a more appropriate forum and then after considering it further, deleted it. I was alerted to the thread by a poster who used the "report" button.

it was a thread that felt like a scam posted by someone logged in with a user name starting with T; thanks Jeff.

I reported it! It just rubbed me the wrong way, like many responders on the thread. I hope this is a sign that Jeff's awareness-raising campaign about the "report" feature is working!
