DH and I are upgrading to a king-size bed and we need a King-size down comforter. I have not bought a comforter in decades. Any suggestions for where I should look for a good-quality one?
Should we consider Twin XL comforters in lieu of a King? |

Not unless you have comforter-theft issues from one of you. Not at all anywhere near as cozy. |

| Costco has a vendor with high-end down comforters during the winter, but they're probably gone by now. I actually bought my last down comforter from costco.com (after looking for the vendor's stuff) and it's been outstanding. |

| I would actually go the European route and buy two twin (or full) comforters. It is a drag putting on a duvet cover for such a huge comforter. Google some images, and you'll see what I mean. |

| Look for traceable cruelty free down. The idea of live plucking a bird is horrendous, and I don't even like geese |

| The Company Store has great comforters. Make sure you get one that's baffled so that all the down doesn't end up on one side. |
