Well there were girls who got higher times that made both teams. One in particular got in the high 50s and was upset she wouldn’t make it. She did.

I would swear part of Gussys money making includes coaching speed. I believe it's called Speed and Agility put on by Healthy Baller.

My daughter was lucky enough to make one of these teams. Wish we had tried out for a MD team last year. The juice may not be worth the squeeze of all of the stress expended.

4) Blue will be good. They will be top 10 despite lack of SSSA girls
5) Pride has a successful early development program because they do just that...develop. the 28 team has been building over 5 years (yes...since 3rd grade).
6) Katie (or whoever runs Pride) is a fool NOT to suck up to each and every player on the 28 team and beg them to stay together.
7) The Orange team will not break top 50. The Great Falls or Vienna Rec team could beat them.

Are you really arguing about #7 vs #15? Not to mention this is their freshman year and historically Capital teams take time to adjust.

Blue will not be top 10. If Pride girls stayed together, maybe, but even they benefited from cushy opponents. This is one if the weaker Blue teams in recent memory.

Please. That 2025 wasn't from Capital, that is Stone Ridge, Visitation, Potomac and SSSA. Thats why you see the real jump in the 2025 standings occur after their Sophomore HS years. And that team has some major horses. Seems the Maryland teams can play in the big leagues without blowing up their teams to create a HS all-star team.....

This is the ideaology that I just don't get. Capital has always been a high school program. I get it believe me that it would be great to have a Hero's or M&D nearby where kids could move along together from 3rd-12th. It does not exist in the DMV. Maybe you are right and that is because of Capital but just because Capital has always been a high school program that girls aspire to reach does not mean that people are "blowing up teams"

No one believes Capital develops players, they just showcase talent developed by others.

I agree. Say what you will about MD teams, they do not have any of mass hysteria and financial burdens of trying out for their teams as Capital does. It was truly a miserable experience and I hope parents push back on all of the pointless clinics and HB sessions.
