LegoLand in FL

We're going to Orlando for like 3 days and also to visit ILs with our 3 and 7 year olds. I'm not a fan of Disney. We went a few years ago to Magic Kingdom, Wild Animal Kingdom, and SeaWorld. I vaguely remember liking Sea World the best. My 7 YO loves Legos. We would like to go to one place per kid. I don't want to go back to Magic Kingdom. Is LegoLand any good? What about Gator Land? I know it would be crazy to go to Orlando without going to Disney but I think it's overpriced and phony and I don't think we'd miss it since our 3 YO is easily overstimulated. Actually I preferred the Orlando Science Center and would like to go back there for our 3 YO. Do you think our 7 YO would like LegoLand over SeaWorld again or Wild Animal Kingdom again? He probably doesn't remember any of it since he went when he was 3.

Perfect for that age for a lego lover. Not more than a 1 day thing but it is excellent. Lego has frequent discounts if you go to their store or subscribe to the magazine (free.)

We loved Legoland. Kids were 3 and 6. Short lines and the kids can ride everything. Fun and easy water park. Really good food! 7 is probably the oldest age I would go though.

I thought Legoland is a waste of money. Busch Gardens is much nicer. I went with a 7 year old. Just not much to do. My kid like building and racing Legos the best, but really that is pretty expensive for all the money we paid. Read tripadvisor reviews. I wrote one.

My DH and I didn't care much for Legoland, but the kids loved it. Your children at their age would probably have a great time.

I went with kids aged 3, 5, and 8 and they loved it. The 8 year old had been the previous year and counted down the days until he could go back (he's really into legos). We went on a long weekend during school break and lines were long enough that we were only able to go on about half the things we might have wanted, but from what I hear, that's not typical, and we still had fun. There was lots the 3 year old could do as well. Try to get your hands on a couple kids go free coupons.

We liked Legoland in Florida with kids that age. My kids loved legos. There were easy rides for my younger one and a couple bigger rides for the older one. Few big lines, and the pirate waterskiing show was fun. Food was pretty good too, and we got photos with Darth Vadar. Great day.

Gatorland is a lot of fun. It's pretty low key - a nice break from the big amusement parks. My kids have been a couple of times and love it.

LEGOLAND is perfect for 3 and 7 year olds. I went with my 6, 8 and 11 year old and it was a lot of fun. It is definitely geared toward younger kids as far as the rides are concerned. My then 6-year old still talks about wanting to go back - over a year later. Surprisingly enough, he liked it much better than Disney. Look for the Buy one adult pass, get a free child pass in several places including the LEGO magazine. And many of the hotels have a free shuttle to the park.

I would greatly appreciate nearby hotels to stay for a long weekend. Legoland Hotel opens this Spring but that might be over the top. We have three small kids (5, 5, 7) and do not plan on renting a car. I was also thinking of Sea World for a day but need to see how far away it is from LegoLand. Thank you!!!

There used to be a Nickelodeon hotel nearby. Looked fun for kids.

SeaWorld is depressing. Skip it.
