You need to contact a Disney travel agent. We used Small World Vacations

Be prepared that is one of Disney's peak weeks. The lines are hours long. Reservations for restaurants cannot be had at this late date. Just be prepared.

What is your budget? If you can afford it, stay at the Contemporary so you can walk to/from the Magic Kingdom--at the age your kids are at, that is the park where you will be spending the most time.

We have a great disney travel agent:
Dana Zificscak
email is danaz at mmvagent.com

I would ask her to find out what rooms and packages are available. It is a little late for planning a disney trip so I think a travel agent is your best bet.

Get yourself the Unofficial Guide to Disney. Also, go to touringplans.com.

And do be prepared, it will be very crowded.

As for dining reservations, it cannot hurt to call as see if you can get reservations. And keep calling. People do release reservations. You may just luck into something.

Contact Amy Geiger at amy@mouseandprincesstravel.com (she's another Disney travel specialist). She did an awesome job for us, with our weird and varied demands.

I tried the guides, etc., but I just don't have the time or desire to wade through all that stuff. It's fun for some people; not for me. I am going to do some reading now that we have our reservations taken care of.

Go to Disney website. They have budget hotels that are better than other hotels in the area. Seriously look at the Disney movie hotel. They also send you calendars, the Disney band etc. You can book the character breakfast which is always a hit. Don't listen to people who say it's crowded etc. It's Disney world it's always crowded. It's your attitude that ruins your trip or makes it wonderful.

If you have flexibility and you're only doing 4 days, go the back half of that week. We went that week last year (week after Easter), and the crowds thinned a bit as the week went on.

Read the million disney posts that are on this board.

Have you or your DH ever been? If not I WOULD NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES go that week.

Yes, everyday is crowded, even a "1" crowd level day is crowded, but the week she is talking is a "10" level crowd week, rivaled only by Christmas and July 4th. It will be shoulder to shoulder by 11am.
