Wasn't sure whether to post this in the expectant moms or beauty section but here goes. I'm in the third trimester and my skin has been VERY itchy the past couple of weeks! Back, legs, arms, belly, everything. I have noticed a few itchy bumps as well on my arms and legs (look almost like mosquito bites but very small) so I think what I'm using is just too harsh for my skin at the moment. I recently had to change face products for this reason so I guess it makes sense the rest of my skin needs an adjustment as well.
Anyway, is there anything you'd recommend for super sensitive skin? |
| Aveeno. I got it in the fall after I had a skin reaction to a new drug, and this whole long dry winter I have not had to moisturize my legs and arms. Have had to lather up my hands and feet a ton, though. |
| Dove sensitive skin. I had a rash from an allergic reaction to the skin cleanser the hospital used before my second c section, exacerbated by mindless scratching as I recovered, and this is what the pharmacist recommended. It didn't burn the way my other body wash had and I still use it 3.5 years later. |
| Dr. Bronners soap -- unscented, rose or almond -- and Curel lotion unscented for sensitive itchy skin. |
| Dr. Brin era is found at health food stores, wegmans, and target. |
| Cetaphil |

Ivory soap bars. Bonus is it's also the cheapest soap.
It might also be worth asking your doctor to test you for cholestasis. I had it and the main symptom is being super itchy. Although it doesn't present with bumps, so yours is different in that way. |
