Should we send a letter to SJC explaining our commitment?

| My DC got wait listed at SJC which was a big bummer and so I was wondering if it would boost his chances to send a letter in explaining how it's his first choice? |

| I've always heard that it can't hurt and who knows, could help bump your kid up the WL if they go to the WL. |

It absolutely would help differentiate him from other waitlisted students.
He should also send anything that comes up / has come up since he applied. For example - if at the year end hockey banquet he is recognized for his service hours, send a note highlighting this - with a picture of him, the coach and him serving food at the shelter. |
