Why do some schools send FA award letters after acceptance?!

We receive an acceptance letter for our DC but apparently the FA notification is sent separately. Why do they do this? We really can't make any decisions until we have received notice, it is agonizing.

Are the notices for FA usually sent by email or mail? Anxiously waiting so we can hopefully move forward.

Lol. I got the FA letter but no acceptance. I'm going to assume that the acceptance letter will arrive on Monday.

Same situation. We're wondering whether the acceptance we just received today implies that financial aid we requested also will be approved (without which our DC won't be able to attend), or whether we just need to sit tight to see how that part plays out.

Was the FA letter in an email today? Was it sent by the school or the FA company?

My FA letter arrived via snail mail from the school.

Could anyone with FA knowledge enlighten us as to why the don't notify perspective student at the same time of their acceptance.

I dont know about this year but two years ago we received acceptance letters from two schools and subsequent notices saying there was no FA for us. It was upsetting to come so close.

What! Where you accepted for the first entry year at the school e.g. 9th grade at a 9-12 school

Yes, it was an expansion year for both schools.
