High quality sleeper sofa under $1500 delivered -- is this possible?

I can't do IKEA, I just can't. Any recommendations?

It's going to be tough to find high quity at that price. Macys would be in your price range but will be middle of the road quality. Also check out Hamiltons sleep sofa. They carry higher end manufacturers such as Rowe and often have sales of their in stock products.

I think the basic Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams we have (the Alex/Alexa line) was around that price. Can't remember but it was about that.

Also, the ports on the west coast are messing up all the furniture deliveries unless they're in stock or American made.

I'm waiting until April for a dresser I ordered in early Jan.

OP here - I would likely get something that is American made.

You may think I'm crazy, but take a look at Laz-y-Boy. They're not awful, the way they once were. We got a nice looking one there for about that price a few years ago.

We found something in that rnge from Hamilton. I also think Lazyboy is worth a look. We just bought a recliner from there and was suprised by the nice styles.

OP here, thanks, DH had suggested La-z-boy and I didn't realize they would do anything other than overstuffed reclinable chairs/sofas. We'll go take a look. Hamilton looks like it has great options but has TERRIBLE yelp reviews.

Do you need it to function as a sofa? I just needed a sleeper so I got a "murphy chest" -- check out Fu Chest / Credenzzz, you can sometimes get them for a bit over $1500. I paid more for mine, but I needed it that night so I didn't shop around.

OP again - yup this is our rec room and backup guest room (for when my siblings come with their kids or both sets of parents are in town at the same time, that sort of thing), so we want both bed and sofa to be comfy.

I've bought two sofas from Hamilton and been happy with them. You could also look at Jennifer convertibles - some of their stuff is cheesy and low-end, but other stuff is nice. Bought my first sofa from them!

Get a good sofa and a couple of air mattresses.

Why even bother replying if you're not join to answer the question? I personally hate air mattresses, I would much rather sleep on an uncomfortable sofa bed than a "pillow top" air mattress. Those things are AWFUL.

I have been impressed by the quality of La-z-boys

So the secret we found to a comfortable sofa bed - for like $30, you can buy a board to slip between the mattress and the bars of the sofa bed. For added comfort, buy a memory foam mattress topper to add to the mattress that comes with it. My elderly parents sleep on our sofa bed regularly and have commented for years about how it is so comfortable.
