TJ final notifications by April 30?

I heard a friend say TJ final notifications will not come until April 30 this year. Is this true?

If my son is not accepted at TJ, we want to pupil place him at another high school. But high school pupil placement submission deadline is April 15.

That's a problem. FCPS should really change the timing for releasing TJ admissions decisions to accommodate this.

If your son has no intention of attending his base school, I would go ahead and turn in the paperwork for placement at the other high school. It is likely much easier to undo that placement than it is to seek it after the deadline.

+1 A perfect solution. The FCPS does not revolve around TJ.
