Thought I had stomach bug but took pregnancy test and am pregnant

I don't even think it's possible. According to my ovulation calendar, it's two weeks early. This would be my third and I've never had morning sickness like this. Bedridden and not being able to drink or eat anything. I haven't been taking any prenatal vitamins. I had low thyroid my second pregnancy and miscarried so haven't checked out my thyroid levels since my second child. Don't know how to feel right now.

Congratulations, OP.

Op here. Let me clarify at how impossible this is. I just had my period two weeks ago so if I'm pregnant, I'm less than a week pregnant and a pregnancy test wouldn't show that. I did wonder if my last period was a miscarriage bc it was super heavy. Is it possible I have hormones still in my body giving off a positive pregnancy test and I indeed have a stomach bug? My DH thought it was weird that no one else in my family caught the bug, however

Yes the scenario you describe is possible if it wasn't a complete miscarriage. You need to see a doctor soon. Call tomorrow.

When I went in for what I thought was my 6 week appointment when I was pregnant with DS aCtually turned out to be my 11 week 2 day appt with my OB. I had had a pretty heavy period at the beginning of my pregnancy. My OB said its not terribly uncommon for someone to have a period during the First month.

While I didn't feel sick as a dog, I definitely threw up a couple times while miscarrying at 7 weeks at work. You might need a (transvaginal) sonogram and some blood work to figure out what is really happening.

Agree. Plus, you wouldn't be having the nausea this early on - 1 week pregnant? - (although some people are more sensitive that others so not entirely impossible).

Agree with posters, either an incomplete miscarriage or heavy bleeding.

I also tested positive a few weeks after what I thought was my period and now I'm 26 weeks. It's definitely possible- good luck, OP.

For my first pregnancy, I had what I thought was a period early on. So I was also surprised to find out I was pregnant. Crazy how our bodies work!

This. It also could be a pregnancy bleed (SCH) that may or may not have resulted in a miscarriage.

Same here. Every time they asked me about the last period to get the age of the baby a whole discussion ensued.

I had it both times. I knew I was pregnant way before it showed up on the strips.
