| What makes it great for you? |
| Captiva. It is IMO it is a very un-Florida like place. Very private, very clean and pretty, super small and just a very relaxing vibe. You can walk everywhere, kids are safe. |
| St Pete's, clearwater, sanibel |
|
Just one? Or one per region...
Panhandle: Dog Island East coast: Amelia Island or St Augustine West coast: Captiva or Sanibel |
|
That's a tough one for me. And I'm from Florida.
I love - St. Augustine Beach partly because I love the town of St. Augustine so much! Anastasia State Park (St. Augustine) has gorgeous beaches. Micklers/Vilano in Ponte Vedra Fernandina Beach Clearwater Beach is gorgeous! Caladesi Island (near Tampa) Siesta Key Sanibel Goodness.....too many to list! |
| Sanibel/Captiva. |
| Daytona. Flat, great for running. Clean |
| Marco Island! Very wide and no crowds. White sand and great shelling. Room to fish. Plenty of room to through a Frisbee or set up games. Very family friendly, well-behaved crowd. Stunning sunsets. |
| South Beach. Duh. |
| Marco Island/Naples...because I've never heard anyone say "Duh" there. |
| Marco Island, Indian Shores, Longboat Key. I love the east coast. |
| Amelia Island. Great sand, beautiful walks, unspoiled, and not crowded. Also lots to do off the beach. |
| Clearwater!! Best beach ever. |
Yeah, but do cars still drive on the beach? Scared the heck out of me as a kid. Have never forgotten about it. |
If the cars don't get you the sharks will. Not sure what it is about Daytona and New Smyrna but the sharks love those beaches. |
