What is the membership for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children)? Do they offer snow day camps when school is closed? I'd love to call and inquire but don't want to be pressured so thought I would get feedback from this forum first. |
Yes, they have snow day camps. We've had our Lifetime membership for years so I don't know what they're charging new members these days. It is negotiable. There are other threads on here about this (specific to dues at Lifetime in Reston) - just do a search. |
Depends. Probably $200 a month. I have my membership through loudoun and I pay 180 for a family of 4. I don't bring my kids to reston. Only use reston when I work out at lunch. |
I'm also guessing about $200/month at Reston too based on what I've heard from other families. I'm a member, but I joined years ago and do not know their current rates. |
We pay 213 per month for 2 adults & 2 kids.
They have camps for scheduled holiday's including school days off. I'm not aware of any camps for the "FCPS wake up in the morning and find school cancelled for the day" though. And yes, they will pressure you, don't give them your real phone number or email until you join whatever you do.... |
And said camps are certainly not part of the membership fee. |
Is Reston the gym that doesn't have the free drop-off daycare while you work out? |
Childcare is $20/kid/month. It's definitely not free. Snow day camps are in addition to that fee (I think they're around $50/kid). |
It's approximately $260/month for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). It's a great concept. Have programs for both the parents and the children. I may hold off joining until next winter because it's expensive if you factor in the cost of summer camp and we also have a membership at the pool close to our house for the summer. |
Sort of. They don't have child care per se (well they do, $20 per 2 hours), instead they have what they call Kids Academy. Same thing but it's club by club so if you're a member in Sterling with the $20 child membership you can't use the Kids area in Reston. so it's less of a universal membership than they lead you to believe. They had a lot of classes in the beginning but they've cut back. They're not really classes anymore, i.e. "Sports Skills" is kids playing dodgeball... They end at 2:00 on sundays. It also closes very early on weekends. |
I wrote this. It's actually $40/month/kid for Kids Academy. |
Wow we only pay $6 per kid: centreville lifetime. $40 each!?! |
