non-Ikea shelve for playroom

I'm looking for some solid wood shelves for my son's playroom. Ideally, they'll be nice and deep and long. Perhaps 3 - 4 shelves, but not too high. Any suggestions? I know I could probably make my own, but would love to just buy something sturdy and easy. (Nothing against Ikea, btw, I just haven't seen anything there that will work!)

Are you looking for a bookcase with shelves, or individual shelves you'll mount to the wall? The Container Store has the Elfa closet system which has a ton of options, and with the way it mounts, you can adjust the height of the shelves whenever you need to. When you go into the store, they have "designers" who work with you to make sure you get all the parts, and it's a pretty straight-forward install (or you can pay to have them do it, but if my 8-months-pregnant self was able to do a closet, you can probably handle some shelving).
