When you have new furniture delivered, do most stores remove the old furniture for you?
TIA! |

No, sell, donate or give away |
Oh, that sucks. |
If you are a first time homeowner like me who is slowly saving to buy pieces of furniture here and there, you can sell the old stuff on Craigslist. It's great, I just spent $500 on a new kitchen table and sold my old one from my grad school days for $150! |
I've only heard of this for appliances and mattresses. |
OP here: yup, first time homeowner who desperately needs a new living room set. ![]() |
The furniture store we shop at takes the old stuff. We've lived in 5 different states and anytime we bought the store took the old. Even appliances. |
+1 |
We had a couch delivered and tipped the guys extra to help us move our old couch into our mini van. Then I drove it straight to a donation place. |
OP, if you want to donate your old furniture instead of selling it, try calling A Wider Circle, which serves DC area families transitioning out of homelessness. Tell them what you have and where you live and they'll give you a pick-up date.
