Your command of the English language is atrocious. Apologies in advance if you are learning disabled. |
Not fake, "lesser Ivy" breakdown: Brown - 1 Columbia - 4 Cornell - 4 Dartmouth - 3 Penn - 6 |
At least 2 kids from Sidwell are going to Brown. Try again. |
| And 1 to MIT |
| Penn is at least 8 |
This, I know as a fact. I think the person who bumped this was well intended, but didn't have a complete list. |
|
If you use the term “lesser ivy” I immediately know know things about you:
1. You didn’t graduate from an Ivy 2. You’re an utter imbecile. |
NP. I graduated from two HYPs. I think of the other Ivies as lesser Ivies, although in varying degrees. UPenn and Cornell are pretty far down there. Columbia I respect more. Brown and Dartmouth middle-ish. You are an utter imbecile if you think there are no distinctions among the Ivies. Some of the SLACs - Swarthmore, Williams, and Amherst - are stronger academically than some of the lesser Ivies. |
You are either a terrible troll or a terrible human. Maybe both. |
When I was in a property Ivy, we called those schools “potted ivies.” Of course that’s snark and little more; they are great schools. |
More like the village idiot with too much time on their hands. |
Congratulations. You just won the asshole post of the year award! |
The above is ridiculous. My wife and I hold 4 ivy degrees between us and we are both very familiar with the term “lesser ivies.” We each hold one degree from a lesser and another from a top. That said, we are not pushing our own children in the direction of the Ivy’s the way our parents pushed us because we didn’t find the benefit of the Ivy pedigree to be worth the related costs - financial and societal - of attending an Ivy. There’s a fair amount of truth to the old adage that once you reach the summit you sometimes find there’s not all that much to see... |
Reality bite you too hard? Don’t like hearing the Swats are better than you?
|
Thank you. It’s always gratifying to see how easy it is to needle the graduates of lesser Ivies! |
