What restaurant ( now closed) do you miss?

We so loved that place (in Congressional Plaza where the Matchbox is now). The walleye and potato pancakes were incredible. One of the last times we were there, we noticed they had some old Golden Gopher yearbooks from the 1930s. I flipped through one and found a picture of my grandfather!

Murasaki, in Tenleytown. I miss their dinner menu.

Red Pearl. It was on the weird little "lake" near Columbia Mall and Merriweather. I've never found another Szechuan and dim sum spot that even comes close, not even any of the pretty-good joins in Rockville.

I think it started with a "C."

I know the place you are talking about, used to occupy the space where Masa Hibachi is now? They also had great mojitos.

NP. I forgot all about that place! It's killing me that I can't remember the name...

Wow, what a blast from the past I haven't thought about for at least 20 years. Now I want one!

Yes - American Cafe. One of the first places I ate in DC.

Not White Castle--Little Tavern. Those burgers tasted like cat meat. The texture and smell were just. Wrong.

How do you know what cat meat tastes like?

You are bringing back memories of my 20s back in the 80s. Sigh.
