It's also pronounced exactly the same as marica which is arguably a slur and roughly translates to f+ggot, pansy, p+ssy in Spanish so it's a no for me for that reason.

Having worked with an Inez, most non-Spanish speaking Americans pronounce it EYE-nez. I think this is common to many names with the letter "i" in them -- Violeta would be pronounced vie-oh-LET-uh.
