Uh, yeah. Sure, Man. I totally believe you're an independent.. who's into "superlikeable guys".. I mean, no bipolar crackpot or closet psycopath would ever hang with someone like Nikki Haley.. She's the epitome of "super-likeable independents"... yeah. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/562095-haley-to-stump-for-youngkin-in-virginia |
Sold out? |
Really? When did he say this? |
I feel like this is the new strategy in GOP astroturfing. Instead of coming clean and just presenting themselves as conservatives, they are “independents” or “dissatisfied Democrats” who are sensible and just want a change. Go read the FCPS forum. It’s so blatant. Do I think some Democrats are unhappy? Yup, I’m one of them. Do I think Democrats are online advocating for Trump supporters, Q anon folks, and bat sh7t crazy conservative school board members? Nah. |
Exactly. “Grassroots” organizations - backed by billionaire dark money. |
I'm not sure if it's actually coordinated astroturfing or just Republicans lying and pretending to be Democrats in order to fake some credibility among liberals, but it's so obvious when it happens. Lifelong Democrats are not all of a sudden voting for Republicans based on some nebulous changes to mathematics curriculum that the right-wing media has weaponized, especially after witnessing the slow descent of the GOP into an unamerican Trump cult. |
I'm fascinated by Youngkin even as a Marylander, because I keep getting told by DCUM "independents" that he's a "moderate" with "common sense approach," and for the life of me I can't tell you where he stands basically any issue, and I've looked. I have no idea what he is or what he thinks and it's baffling to me that anyone would vote for someone like that. |
Very unbelievable. Regardless of who is behind it. |
No, it is quite believable. I am a staunch Republican who used to vote for some Democrats for school board and other local and state elections because I felt like Republicans were more about controlling curriculum and making rules and laws that took control from citizens and schools. But, I could NEVER vote for most of the Democrats today considering the crap they advocate for. They seem to cater to the small minority instead of considering the larger population. |
Norfolk Academy is the most elite private school in that area. It’s irrelevant to compare it to dc privates. This guy pretends he came up from poor origins but he was a rich kid from the beginning who only got richer— no bootstraps required. I thought people were smart enough to see through the “flipping eggs” BS. And his only platform is “voting integrity” in support of the big lie. We had no election fraud and don’t need restrictive voting laws. He supports trump and happily took his endorsement. |
Yes, "crap" like voting rights, equality, bodily autonomy, etc. Not many people care about that stuff.
|
| Candidates from the party out of the White House almost always win in VA and NJ. Youngkin is probably the favorite for this reason alone. |
He’s not the favorite, though. And McAuliffe won right after Obama did. |
Except he's a Trumphumper. |
that's his campaign strategy and it's working |
