And the reporter was told this before she finished the story on Facebook by multiple people and she just ignored it. |
+1 for this We were a lucky family who got a spot at a private school late last summer, and so fortunate. DC was miserable in the spring with virtual learning, and really needs contact with other kids. I feel certain we would have been dealing with major depression this year had we not gotten the spot we did. Many, many kids have suffered this year. |
I missed this earlier. Angry dad bros at it again. Will they ever stop posting incoherent nonsense? ![]() |
I don’t think that statistical reality means what you think it means. |
Aside from FCCPS being missing from the graph what else is “wrong”? |
it doesn't support their "facts" ![]() |
quality, not quantity. |
+1. Science + Data = WaPo article doesn’t support our narrative so it’s wrong! |
It’s strange to me how so many people assume that anti-APE posters are virtual families. My kids are hybrid and have been for a long while. But I still find the behavior of APE parents to be reprehensible, not just the yelling at SB and teachers but also the pushing for return to school in November. |
There are many parents who have nothing to do with APE who are very disappointed in APS.
Being upset with how APS handled the year doesn't make you an APE member, despite how it's thrown around on this forum. |
I'm disappointed that this thread wasn't deleted either.
These are troll posts and get troll answers. People are allowed to be disappointed in this school year. OP just won't give it a rest. Rinse lather repeat. |
I can be disappointed with how APS handled some things but ok with how they handled others. And I can be disappointed in APS and express that without disparaging teachers, recalling SB members or calling for Duran's firing. |
You’d think a bunch of smarties from Arlington would’ve followed the science and opened hybrid in September and full time in Jan/February like most other east coast communities and solved most of those struggles of the S Arlington residents. Arlington has one group of people to blame - and they all reside north of 50. I just shake my head at the paranoia of my friends in N Arlington. |
Yup, I agree. We can afford to pay pod now, and tutor over the summer in addition to summer camp, but not all have those funds. We don't necessarily have it,but we make sacrifices on other things and make do. Next year will be a nightmare. I see why they couldn't find enough teachers to teach summer school, they all know what the fall will bring. The witing is on the wall. |
Why on earth would this thread be deleted? It’s discussing facts from a WP article about RTS. You don’t like facts? |
