| I looked back in my email from when my daughter joined ADP and the first note with team info was from mid August. |
| For the 2013 boys, they said they were thinking of adding two teams based on turnout from older ages. Tryouts finished on Monday for all ages. Has anyone who has rejected get invited in a second round? My ds loves to play, did pretty well at the tryout, but didn’t make it. It was a tough message to tell him. Thanks |
Bumping this thread to ask about scheduling. Does not hearing anything until August include the date/time of the pool practice? If I could even get that on the calendar it would help so much with scheduling activities for my other kids. |
| Overachiever! Could just assume Mondays or Wednesdays 4:30pm as a starting point? |
Field coordinator for ADP here--if you can tell me what days and times you prefer I can adjust the schedules. There is still time. |
Mondays and Wednesdays would be amazing! Everything else seems to be Tuesday/Thursday. |
This was so nice field coordinator! |

Who is trolling and how? |
I doubt the field coordinator is reading this thread. |
| Holy cow is this level of delay in team assignments normal? We just moved back from another state and I can’t believe the email saying we will hear in the next two weeks. Like, September?!? Is Arlington/ADP always this disorganized? |
| Games don’t start for a few weeks. Chill. Why does it matter what team your kid is on. It’s not travel. |
So you all are trying to join a development program that uses tryouts to see which players already have the skills the development program is supposed to develop? |
|
yes. ADP is not to develop brand new rec players with no skills.
ADP is to develop intermediate players who may have the interest and/or the ability to move up to a travel team. That's why it ends after U11... if they don't have the interest and/or ability by the U12 year, the hill gets too steep to climb for Arlington Soccer to invest resources in it anymore. |

Arlington has 4-5 travel teams in those age groups, if your child didn't make it or you believe your child joining the club for any program will give them a boost in next years tryouts, you're mistaken.
Recommendation would be find another club that that your DC can join for travel or have them join rec and see how good they are after all good players have joined travel or adp-like programs. If your child is intermediate level, they will stand out in rec. Not trolling. Have a 15 yo DS and have been through many additional trainings, the differentiator for players moving up in travel is the player's interest in continuing. The parent's interesti. Their DC playing travel soccer and checkbook can only take them so far. |
