You smell that?? It is the scent of a troll.
My husband wouldn't budge about a minivan, and I didn't want one either. We got a Subaru Ascent with captain's chairs 2 weeks before #3 arrived. Then we rented a minivan on a vacation. And now we're on the verge of trading in the SUV.
We have 3 under 9 years old .. LOVE our Ascent .. but for travel we use the Honda pilot with the entertainment system in it, it is basically a minivan without the convenience features. |

The current Odysseys are crap. I refuse to buy one, even though I've had two previous ones. If you get a van, get something else.
If you need a decent 3rd row and don't want a Suburban-size car, the best 3rd rows are Traverse, Pilot, Ascent, and Atlas, as best I can tell. |
It is in 2021! |
| We have a 2020 Pilot (bench seating in second row) and have a 4 year old and a 1 year old. We are thinking about having a third. Will it work? The message I am getting is that minivans are the way to go....I just want to know if we can make a Pilot work! Regretting not thinking it through more when we bought it! |
| Single parent to kids 14,13,11. Drive a subaru ascent, will give to oldest when he turns 16 as his car. |
| Mini van with 2 kids and #3 on the way but bought the minivan before planning for #3. It's just an easier way to move the family, the dog, and anything else we need to |

Minivan at least until you are down to 1 car seat, no more stroller, PNP, etc.
Brand new Sienna looks nice. |
Yes, you absolutely can make a Pilot work, if it's just about driving your own family around. We have had a Pilot since before our third was born, and our kids are now 3, 5, and 7. We are only getting ready to buy a minivan because we're having a fourth. If you plan to drive your 4 year old's entire soccer team around next year or do lots of carpooling, it's a different story. But we have had no problem with our three in the Pilot. |
Wow! I want to be a nanny. |
