Winter birthdays, how are you celebrating?

He watched the video constantly- he’s always liked looking at videos and pictures of family and friends.

Are you doing this masked? Will you let friends inside the house?

Yes, doing it masked. Will tell families to have kids wear masks. Wasn't planning on letting them inside - unless emergency bathroom needed. We've done this over the houses of these same friends and it worked. I thought I'd get the smores ready ahead of time so kids aren't all touching the food.

I know local Hoffman theaters are renting out theaters for private viewing. Not a lot of options, but $100 for an older movie. In Virginia the max allowed in your party is 10. I would not personally have a party with others but am considering taking my immediate family for child’s birthday. Even then I’m going back and forth, but if we wear masks in, I doubt it’s that risky as I assume at 2pm on a Sunday there won’t be that many others in the theater between the door where we enter and the theater we go to. You can do order ahead for popcorn and such as well.

Alamo is doing something similar. We were thinking about that, as well.

We rented a theater like the poster above for our daughters birthday and played her favorite movie (you can bring your own) but just had our immediate family and grandparents as they are in our small bubble. Not sure what to do for our son. Does anyone know of an ice rink you can rent out the whole thing? We do not want to do anything beyond our family.

Another Special Needs mom here with a 14 year old. Can you walk me through how you did your virtual hug? Would love to do this for my kid's birthday coming up. Thanks for any info.
