Unless you live right near the Hill, I don't think most people in the District will even encounter the protesters, more or less get shot by them.

I guarantee you a small branch of right winged militia is far more armed with well equipped than the U.S. capital police. It isn't that hard for the right to bring 10k people armed with rifles and plate carriers and they will far far out arm the police, then what? you are going to shoot/arrest mobs of armed militias and start gun battles in the streets? DC has like 3k cops and maybe 500 rifles. Laws aren't magic, they need enforcement from a guy with a gun, and most cops are right winged and pro-militias.

All dictators, whether communist or fascist, use volunteer militias to take power. Brownshirts, Blackshirts, the Red Guard, guerrillas in China and North Korea. That's the outcome you are hoping for.
