And there’s a GoFundMe that will be split between BLM and the Sandy Spring Slave Museum. (Not sure why anyone would donate to a GFM rather than make a direct donation to those orgs, but whatever.)

do you have a linK?

I do not feel comfortable linking to the victims Facebook page but that is where he has shared it. I hope the police put out a press release with the details.

Detectives from the 4th District have charged William Love, age 63, of Continental Drive, with three acts of vandalism and a theft of a flag at the same residence in Olney.

During the investigation of these incidents, home video surveillance and photographs of the suspect were released to the media and public. Investigators received tips from people in the community who identified the suspect as Love.

Investigators applied for criminal charges against Love. A District Court Summons was issued charging Love with three counts of malicious destruction of property and one count of theft.

Mugshot not available: A District Court Summons was issued and therefore no mugshot was taken.

I wanted to see a clear face of this mofo was disappointed that no mug shot was taken. Can an attorney or somebody who knows law explain why there are no mugshots with a district court summons? What does that mean? I find it very suspicious that a mug shot of this white guy isn’t taken or shared. The police seemingly put out mug shots of every other arrest.

This a-hole needs to be put in prison for the rest of his life.

The police are trying very hard not to arrest people. And the jails are trying very hard to keep people out. We have been very successful keeping the COVID infection rate very low in the local jails. They have very few people incarcerated right now. A summons is a piece of paper that's delivered to the defendant. The defendant was never taken to Central Booking to be arrested, so there is no way to take a photograph.

So an arrest does not mean they are taken to jail for some type of processing? The police do not take a picture for record keeping?

I’m the PP

Was NOT being sarcastic. The only reason I want him in prison for life is because I oppose the death penalty on moral grounds.

They do if the person is arrested. This person was just issued a summons to appear in court. He was not arrested.

It took only a few posts to get to the Olney is racist theme. Most people on this forum know nothing about Olney and are filled with stereotypes. If you look at the demographics of Sherwood high school (race), they are similar to the county as a whole. Ironically many probably segregate themselves in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, or NW DC with whites or Asians but believe they are "diverse."

Yep according to the southern MoCo DCUMers any place in northern MoCo is a racist stronghold.

Bethesda residents would know. Bethesda is a whopping 4% black. Whiter than most European countries.
