I would add: Playing for time Au Revoir les Enfants The Lady at No. 6 Diary of Anne Frank |
What do you mean they didn't have color film? They didn't *use* color film, but it existed. The film was made in 1994, FFS. |
She means the actual paper copy of the list. Not the movie |
| Come and see |
Similar. Saw it in the theater when it first came out. Just saw it once so many years ago and it definitely left a mark. |
There were color films in 1944 but Schindler specifically ordered that the list be typed up in black and white so that'd it'd look more dramatic whenever someone made a movie about him. |
Playing for time. I saw that when I was a little girl - I never forgot it. |
| I went to see it when it came out, but spent the whole movie making out with me girlfriend. |
| I actually think Sophie's Choice is among the most powerful Holocaust films, partly because it also depicts how the events affected people even after the war. |
You were making out during Schindler's List??? ah what a great episode. |
It is worth a watch. To answer the question in the subject line, like most Spielberg movies it is somewhat overrated. |
It is excellent. But very hard to watch. Bring some tissues. |
To each his own. (NP.) I thought that was an especially haunting part to the movie. |
| I remember seeing it in a packed theater and when it ended you could not hear a sound, not even breathing. |
Ditto. It was like someone had sucked all the air out of the room and out of everyone’s lungs as well. We walked out of the theatre and still ... not a sound. |
