Since you didn't even watch the first 3 minutes and twenty seconds of the game, why is your opinion worth anything at all? |
i watched the first 30 minutes, was there something spectacular after? was saddened by the goal at 28 minutes s it was really nothing more than a poor direct kick and a horrible mistake by GK these kids were goof in the defensive 3rd, okay in the mid 3rd, and they had little to offer in the final 3rd their play is better than most usa teams but their level is below what the us standard should be to aspire to as they lack creativity in the final 3rd and dont seem to be learning it maybe i missed something, if so point me out to the creative combination or attack in the final 3rd I missed all i see is possession into the final 3rd then frustration and long shots or hopeless crosses into box it aint exaclly Klopp or Peo inspiring |

the funny thing is these teams would'nt have much possession against european or s.a. teams
same problem for usmnt good possession ceases to exist against great possession |
If you are "saddened" by the Orange Tean, I can't imagine how you feel about the Green team. |
+1. This team is pretty impressive especially for 10 year old kids. I guessing the PP is more accustomed and prefers the big/fast kids that kick & run and the big goal kicks. |
| Can’t just possess. At some point you need to generate an effective attack. Positive possession with patience. But if you take no risks there will be no reward. This is true with everything in life, including soccer and these kids need to be taught that lesson. |
No the PP was advocating the purpose of possession. Like them I watched and see excellent mindset of possession in these teams. A good foundation. They need to ice the cake now by teaching an attacking purposeful mindset. Not easy to teach either aspect. Good luck to both green and orange in their journeys |
| Posting just for posting sake without any true purpose is not good soccer |
LOL. They did a good job, Sterling Dad. You don't have to pimp out all their videos. |
No you didn't. They scored two goals in the first eleven minutes.
Well clearly you missed the first two goals. They created scoring a good scoring chance every three or four minutes minutes or so that I watched - although I didn't watch the whole thing.
That's because you didn't even watch the first 3:20. That's when they score the first goal by the way. |
How many good chances, shots on goal, and goals scored should a team generate in 90 minutes to satisfy you? |
|
I watched it again just to be sure
The 28:20 goal was decent but a direct kick and not an example of possession creating a chance and really was almost an own goal by GK Goal at 3:20 consists of green unable to build a goal kick out of their box, big striker bodies the ball away and passes to an unmarked player who blasts rather than dribbles it in - this goal is from high pressure against a defensive mistake. Well done by orange but it an indication of creating chances through possession - it’s a good example of high press capitalizing on defensive mistake Orange GK punts ball a couple times as does Green and possession is immediately lost at midfield Direct kick taken fromnjust across midfield later is launched at goal rather than played off and built in to oenetrate. Not a bad idea but not an example of penetration with possession GK stops this easily this time Goal at 11/20 is the first time orange successfully goes down the middle instead of wide and again finish is a shot outside box. I guess you could say that is created by the wife possessions earlier in a sense and it is done well but it’s not really an example of penetrating a good defensive shape , it is an example of a defensive breakdown as the last 2 defenders are confused and 1 stabs at ball rather than stopping it and holding space, Well just have to disagree about: 1. think the possession shown is good but not anything great, it’s a start but the finishes are not a combination of passes that break lines and create anything beyond a shot from outside box, I only watched this game though maybe they normally play different 2 you seem to take and make comments personal, it’s not personal it’s just business, criticism is helpful to grow 3!my points are about the soccer not the kids they are probably great kids 4 have a great weekend |
| The goal by McLean was a one-timer that was the nicest looking goal of the game |

The funniest thing in this video is the voice of the guy in background constantly talking at the team telling them what to do and critiquing them - clearly an Orange parent.
Odds are he is the video guy as well seated next to it and is bent out of shape his post here isn’t getting enough compliments. Funny to talk whole time as kids never hear it on field and never a word about kids having fun. It’s just a game but not to the voice guy or video poster ... too bad |
