My guess is that the Republicans incorrectly, like a lot of people that want schools to open now, assume that children don't carry or spread the virus. They've been testing everyone that comes into the WH for the past six months. My guess is that they asked the adults to test, but falsely assumed the children couldn't carry it. We've still not heard that the children are all negative and you'd think through repeated notices that ACB is negative, that she'd also mention her seven children plus husband in her press release if this was the case.

This makes me feel better about having only one kid. 7 kids? My house and immune system would be wrecked.

It should be pointed out that at least one person on the White House staff tested positive on September 16, a little more than 2 weeks ago. You know they don't do contact tracing, so maybe that's how it started.

The superspreader was trump. He was exposed a day earlier to Ronna McDaniel, who was pre symptomatic and found out a family member was sick on Saturday, the following day. Trump likely knew he’d been exposed at al the ACB nomination events Saturday. Continued to expose and infect people all week. Unclear when his last negative test was. My bet is Monday, and he didn’t test at all Tuesday before the debate. Then the shitstorm of positives started happening on Wednesday, post debate, and the cover up started. He is a monster.

Blame? Slag? What are you talking about? If the kids were the vectors, it was most certainly not their fault. They are kids. They rely on the adults around them to make decisions about their safety and the safety of others. They might be sweet. They might not. They might be the “patient zero”. They might not. The one thing they are not is any way to blame for this cluster. That belongs to the adults in the room.

Someone up thread mentioned that the White House probably got overconfident and didn't mandate that the kids get tested alongside ACB or her husband. Or they asked ACB if they were sick, she said no, and they took her word for it.

The issue is we have visual confirmation of those kids meeting with high levels of U.S. leadership. All of whom were confirmed positive within 72-120 hours of the meeting. There also been no reports that ACB's 9-person household is virus-free since the superspreader summit.

If the White House had instituted proper testing and contact tracing protocols and/or actually listened to CDC guidance and not held maskless events - let alone indoors, this wouldn't have happened.

Most people with the COVID don't actually pass it on to others, instead experts estimate 10-20% of infected people are superspreaders and may be responsible for as much as 80 to 90 percent of transmissions. It is unlikely that people are one by one passing on COVID around Trump. It is more likely one superspreader infected most of the people that have been around Trump. Where is the contact tracing?

I think it is 45. The doctors are saying his course of treatment is generally started a week or so after diagnosis. So that means he was probably positive at the White House Supreme Court superspreader event a week ago sat. I think he has been refusing to be tested for a while and only did so after Hope tested positive and he was feeling ill.
