Virginia lieutenant governor enters race for governor

I,for one, will support Fairfax in the primary. He is an intelligent, thoughtful and energetic candidate. Governor Northam has made great strides in taking Virginia out of the past, and a Governor Fairfax will continue the job of making Virginia into a modern, progressive, vibrant commonwealth that welcomes people from all walks of life

So Northan did such a great job handling that whole “I wore blackface several times” and pics of him wearing a kkk robe, that the next step for VA dems is to elect a guy who two women credibly accuse of raping them, so the point of police investigations being opened.

Um, there is no concrete evidence that the individual in that black face photo was Governor Northam

Northam has been a breath of fresh air. From police reforms, to changes in abortion laws, he has brought Virginia into the 21st century. I will support Fairfax, as he is the one who will continue this important progressive work.

No, because state politics are different than national politics, and it's more difficult to shake off sexual abuse allegations when you're running for a more local office. It shouldn't matter, but I'm a black woman and have no interest in supporting Fairfax.

If you dared to mention any of the facts that weakened her claim you were set upon. Who cares if the accusation was 30 years old. Who cares if there were no witnesses. Who cares if Blasey Ford is a lunatic. Who cares that she couldn't even tell you when or where she claimed to have ben raped. None of that matters. What matters is simply that a woman said it happened.

But with Fairfax? Nope. It must have been consensual. We need more facts. We don't need an investigation because Fairfax says its false.

It's racial. White women don't care for black women deep down. If Fairfax's accusers were white it would be different story.

There was more of an investigation into Kavanaugh than there was into Fairfax. Fairfax should be innocent until proven guilty.

Completely misses the point. There was no assumption Kavanaugh was innocent (from a D perspective). And during the very public and very thorough investigation, and even after it, there was zero proof what Blasey Ford claimed had happened actually happened. Again, she couldn't tell you THE YEAR she claims she was assaulted.

Two women give explicit details of sexual encounters with Fairfax. He confirms they occurred. If that's not a scenario where a woman is to be believed, what is?
