Is virtual learning really just hard for our family?

It’s a terrible dynamic here.

We, at the advice of several other mom and dad friends, have set up elaborate bribe systems to get our ES kids to do their assignments and participate during screen learning.

They are not learning much, as evident when they/we double check work together, terrible habits are forming. Teacher can’t tell they’re playing iPad games and looking at the screen some times.

The BS indigenous people discussion this week with 8 yo was a total joke. And culminated w one boy asking if Columbus invested slavery, 5e teacher provided No context and said I don’t know. Then another boy chimed in that Trump wants to start slavery again. Then the teacher said we don’t talk about Trump, again not affirming or donating or providing any context.

We’re European and think you all are idiots changing names of holidays every 50 years to appease some small social protestor.

Can’t wait to leave or stop DL.
