Why most people(kids & adults) here wear cloth masks, but not disposable masks like other countries?

I have a few of these, decent surgical masks.

We should be using meltblown KN95 (China), KF94 (Korean) or N95 (US) but we have no stock for KF94 or N95 and KN95 is flooded with dangerous counterfeits.

US should be regulating and QC the mask market so we can get a steady supply or true PPE.

That earloop mask is not just a repeatedly reused tissue that sits on your face. It has magical powers.

Just ask the 9 year old sweatshop worker in China who assembled it for you. Congratulations, you're now safe from COVID. Thank you, China!

Masks work! Safety! I love science!

Quilting material is just 100% cotton. What is helpful about knowing a quilter is the patterns they can stitch that make passing particles more difficult. That's why stitched blankets are warmer than ones with just batting in them. Air can't get through them as easily.

Actually you are incorrect. The warmest comforters and quilts are stitched less. Less stitching allows more air to be trapped in the quilt/comforter, which is what warms you up.

LOL - this exchange totally sums up the BS surrounding "SCIENCE!"-yelling branch covidians the last 6 months.

It used to be so hard to be a good person. I used to have to be selfless, refrain from gossip and be there for my friends when they needed me most. Now i just have to wear a rag on my face and post black squares on Instagram! 2020 is lit af!

Exactly!

Disposable masks made in questionable foreign factories could end up doing more harm to our health than Covid.

Um, what? Do you think China has imbued the masks with some neurological agent?

Because when this started you couldn't find disposable masks and were shamed for taking them away from essential workers; so everyone made their own and now have them and don't need disposable ones.

Not PP, but who knows what chemicals are in them? I've been looking for some for my kids but in the end feel safer with three-ply cotton masks.
