We stayed here in Springdale, UT in October and it was just delightful! Walkable to everything in Springdale, incredible views, and right at the entrance of Zion NP.

Here are a few we have stayed in:

Chamonix, France -

Roussillon, France -

Mt Desert, Maine

Asheville, NC

My kids absolutely loved the Asheville property. It was hard to get them to leave so we were barely able to check out Asheville. They just wanted to play with the goats all day.

The Maine house was idyllic. It was like our own little summer camp. The bugs were kind of awful but it was so pretty.

Another drivable trip that we loved was Anna Maria Island in Florida. So pretty!

Let's keep this list going -- it's a wonderful resource. I discovered that I really want to visit Carcassone, which wasn't even on my radar before reading this thread. Thank you to all of those who've shared their knowledge!

The name has changed and I don’t recall the pink linens, but pretty sure this is where we stayed in Rome a few years ago. Great location!

Amelia island is so lovely! The beaches are decent (similar to other Atlantic beaches tbh), mostly not crowded. There is a cute downtown area with surprisingly good local restaurants. There are cute residential neighborhoods with the mossy oaks of Savannah. It’s charming. We prefer the calm beaches of the gulf coast but Amelia has a lot more charm.

Note that mask wearing is pretty mixed. We also saw a save our children rally flyer on a window front downtown, which is a qanon thing. But we didn’t go to make friends.

That is a great location. I could sit and eat/drink/people watch in Piazza Navona for hours.

Also, thanks for posting a place that isn't $500+/night. The other places listed have been great, but if you are paying that kind of money, they should be great. We have been pretty successful finding family sized places (2 or 3 bedroom) in the $200-300 range in good locations, but it takes a bit more work and you generally need to reserve early, so it's nice to see one like that.
