Yes, those with old family money will likely always go private but those who got rich by working and are probably still working (and got a bit scared by the economy) would happily jump at the chance to save $30+K a year.

Exactly what population is Adrian talking about? And what exactly did he say in his interview. He says the school is rundown, but Ellington has had a lot of renovations over the last four years. This man is talking out of his butt.

It looks like from today's WP that both Rhee and Fenty have had their hands slapped a little by people interested in Duke Ellington -- so they're not going to move the school for now (they'll do it late some night when no one is watching...kind of how the Colts left Baltimore in the dark of the night).

The issue will be revisted after the election when there is nothing to lose.
