I’m actually looking forward to some quality time with family at home

Finding the good in things is always important. look for silver linings, be grateful for the small good that comes from struggle.

Enjoy your time with your family OP. I think it will slow down life for many and that is a good thing. Some will waste the benefits due to being riddled with anxiety and hysteria rather than seeing the good in it.

I honestly think it's just one person who is feeling angry and overwhelmed.

I agree OP. I’m glad schools are closed. Now that we’re all home, I’m a lot more relaxed. Looking forward to QT here too.

You’re going to sit around and count corpses? Doesn’t sound like fun.

Is it the same person lashing out on multiple threads?

Considering there is at least one and probably many more people on DCUM who regularly argues that babies and toddlers are BETTER OFF in daycare than they would be if a parent was home taking care of them full time it doesn't surprise me that many of you are mad at the OP for daring to say she will enjoy spending more time with her kids during this otherwise tough time.

OP, I get what you mean. Silver lining and all that.

Here’s hoping we all get through this as well as possible.

I would be too, OP if I didn’t have to work and watch the kids at the same time. Right now I’m trying to think of ways to get both done.
Anonymous
OP, if it takes a pandemic to get you to slow down and enjoy your kids, I think you need to examine your regular life.

No wonder people hate us.

This. Our generation of mothers and women on this forum. So tone deaf, so self-involved. It’s pathetic.

You can be looking for silver linings and be happy to have a lot of time with your kids and simultaneously think OP sounds really obnoxious.
