So many parents were moaning this weekend about handballs where the ball bounces up off the players foot and hits her own arm (which is away from her body) unintentionally. This is no longer a handball offence.

It never really was an offense unless done deliberately, but often referees interpreted it as deliberate because "he did it himself" and whistled. The clarifications in the laws now specifically address this situation:
