The rumor is that Robert Downey Jr said Kirk Douglas raped Natalie Wood.

Look at RDJ's age and the year Natalie Wood was raped. How would RDJ know who did it?

He’s friends with Natalie Wood’s daughter.

Was Natalie Wood's daughter there when Natalie Wood was raped? I'm not super into defending Kirk Douglas, but this just sound a LOT like gossip.

WOW. This man just died and we can talk about the allegations of him raping a woman but we could not do that with Kobe? What gives?

Hardly. This has been discussed for years.

The new media trend is lending god-like status to dead celebs. No thanks. Especially for dirt bags.

+1

WTH is Kirk absolved? Because you are a “fan”? Stop.

Yes. Natalie Woods.

And maybe Jean Spangler. May he rot in hell.

Natalie was a teenager and completely traumatized. It’s in her biographies (classic film movie buff here), with Kirk unnamed.

Hope ya went straight to hell Kirk — you didnt deserve the long full life you got

A young popular actor raped her on a date when she was a teenager. This is not disputed.

He was also a racist who refused to be cast in a film with Sidney Poitier.

If the allegations are true, so much for the concept of Karma. The abused dying a horrible suspicious death while the abuser living a long charmed life!

I said it was a rumor. I honestly don’t care.

He was quite the actor and quite the philanthropist.

And he was quite adept at hooking up with the biggest stars:

Only if a long life is your only criteria for a happy life. He had a horrible stroke some twenty years ago and never recovered. Plus he had miserable marriages and watched his son eclipse him in power and fame. Kirk desperately wanted to play MCMurphy in “One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest” so his son optioned the rights and refused to cast him. Then Kirk saw his grandson go to jail.

I don’t think he had a happy life at all.

If the dirt bag in the Oval Office can get absolved why can't Spartacus?

+1. And Kirk’s youngest son died from a drug overdose.

Beginning in 1963, he served as an ambassador of goodwill, traveling around the world for the State Department and the United States Information Agency.

In 1981, President Carter awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor. Two years later, he received the Jefferson Award for his public service; and he later received the French Legion of Honor.

Ugghhh...what a dirtbag.

Dirt bags hide in plain sight. They also clock up accolades as a shield. You are clearly a major dummy if you think French Legion of Honor means more than diddly squat when it comes to abusing young actresses.

I’ve never heard of her tragic life—I’m back with another link from that website about her disappearance and possible connection to Kirk Douglas:

More than likely, if she died in a botched abortion, Kirk wasn’t in the room. Whomever “Dr. Scott” was, probably dispatched her to a shallow grave somewhere.

I too find this double standard odd. Jeff was deleting even the most innocuous comments about Kobe's rape allegations within minutes even several days after he died before he finally let the accusations fly. Maybe he has changed that policy?

Beautiful, talented, lovely Olivia de Havilland (Melanie Wilkes in Gone With the Wind) is 103! Such a beauty!

Wow - I didn't realize she was still alive! I remember when my mom took me to see Gone With the Wind for the first time. It was about 1978 and she commented that Olivia was the only one of the four main stars that were still alive (Clark Gable, Vivian Leigh and Leslie Howard had all died.) And that was 40 plus years ago!
