| what about in table tennis (ping pong) or billiards? |
| Huh? I mean I think what the women have done over the past 30 years is awesome for women around the world, but is this topic a serious question???? |
| The other day I was watching European u20/11 men's semi final between Germany and Austria, and at halftime I think I flipped the channel to women's WC with England or Brazil playing, and immediately felt the very obvious gap between the two games in speed and strength. I don't know if the boys were playing better soccer or not, but even the touches looked mostly superior than the women's. |

| I have been watching a lot of the Women's World Cup with my 12 year old son...and we constantly talk about how these women make the same mistakes a U12 boys do. When they are in or near the box, they must think the ball is magic and they just shoot even though there is a defender right in front of them and it hits the defender and bounces away, a large portion of their shots miss the goal by yards. They sky them because they don't get over the ball. Miss wide by 10 yards. Their backs play weak passes into the midfield that easily get intercepted (and the midfielder isn't checking shoulders to see the defender jumping the pass). Just the same stuff that drives me nuts with my son's u12 team. |
Yep Rapinoe is not very good. |
It's the US soccer mentality, men and women. It's ugly football. |
The women’s team has a terrible touch on the ball compared to the men’s team. Luckily they play different sports. Women’s soccer is not the same as men’s soccer. |
Why is that? Do they need a smaller or softer ball or smaller field or larger goals? Or even different rules? I watch womens basketball but don't feel the players are less skilled. |
It is silly to suggest that Zardes or Bradley have better touch than Tobin Heath. |
Then why don't those boys get as much attention and money as USW? Terribly sexist and unfair. |
Are you sure you weren't watching MLS? |
+1 I am a woman and big fan of USWNT. Why is anyone asking this stupid question? |
Really? The men’s World Cup brings in 4-5 billion, the women’s 73 million. Just stop. Show me the money. |
