Now, I do agree that 5 might seem a little young. I know families that committed that early, but I wouldn't do my gymnast is doing just fine. Keep up with lessons and maybe reconsider preteam (somewhere else) if/when you are ready. FWIW, we have join at older ages and advance very quickly. We also have girls who switch to XCEL b/c they want a different balance in their life.
